Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Installation & Service Technician to join our Security, Surveillance, & Access Control division. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Verkada’s, Video Security & Access Control portfolio, as well as Hanwha, Honeywell and various other manufacturer’s security Solutions products. You will work with a diverse range of customers, ensuring that their security systems are deployed effectively and operate reliably.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive to customer locations to install and program new video, security and access control systems and equipment, including Verkada, Hanwha, Honeywell and other security solutions.
- Provide regular maintenance checks, troubleshoot and repair existing access control systems such as electric strikes, mag locks, card readers, sensors, door handles, and control boards as necessary
- Understand and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to install the correct equipment in the correct locations.
- Understand and interpret local code and regulations as they relate to access control and fire.
- Work with customers to understand their security needs / requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, services performed, and any issues encountered, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years field experience with access control systems.
- Must be proficient with running low voltage cables in buildings, including proper routing, securing, and termination.
- Familiarity with basic electrical conduit tools and practices.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including willingness to perform work on ladders and aerial lifts when required.
- Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and other technicians to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow directions.
- Work clean; clean finishing work; and clean jobsite upon project completion.
- Ability to travel to customer sites, some requiring overnight stays in Company provided vehicle.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience with CCTV systems
- Experience with Audio/Video
- Telecommunications experience
- Experience in fiber optic cabling and fusion splicing
